LIONEL SMIT
Born in Pretoria in 1982, this talented young artist lives and works in Cape Town, and has already established a substantial international following. Collectors ranging from the European Investment Bank to the Delaire Graff Estate in South Africa have taken to his art. Smit’s popularity is indeed growing on a global scale, with a recent highlight being the use of an image of his for the cover of a Christie’s charity auction catalogue in London.
