PAUL ROBINSON
The American artist Paul Robinson is constantly creating new departures in his photographic style and technique.
Robinson works exclusively with analogue film and his approach can be seen in many ways as a reaction to digital photography and photo shop practices.
By employing various strategies such as multiple exposures, collage, physical cutting and pasting, re-photography, painting with ink and manipulating the drying process, Robinson conjures painterly and atmospheric works.
His artwork has been exhibited extensively in New York, Los Angeles, London and Hong Kong. Notable colectors include Sydney Pollack, Renee Zellweger, Angela Missoni, Natalie Massenet, Vivica A. Fox, Jennifer Tilly, Melissa Etheridge and Jason Priestley.
